Two software packages comprise the Cisco Video Monitoring System: Client and Server. Clients may be computers, smart phones, or PDAs. Each client may remotely view live video and play recorded video. Additionally, client computers may remotely configure the system using the remote desktop controller and create backups. The Server package is necessary for the system to run. It should be installed on the computer you intend to use to serve the client devices. The main console application in this package configures the system, records video, and performs analysis on and responds to the video it captures. The Basic Plus license supports up to 32 cameras and remote client access.
