System Integration Services

With one integration lab near Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and another just outside Seattle, Washington, Zones is capable of integrating and shipping up to 1000 devices per day. Each location is staffed with experienced and certified technicians trained to configure desktops, laptops and servers and to integrate components on all current product lines. Zones integration labs follow a precise regimen that results in a field failure rate of less than 1%.

Employing a step-by-step process, the Zones integration team carefully inspects the quality of the hardware before integration begins, builds the hardware according to manufacturer specifications, installs software and imaging as requested, and then completes a functionality test. The final step consists of a rigorous quality control (QC) test performed by a senior level technician to ensure system functionality and adherence to all client specifications. We do not veer from this standard procedure - Zones QC protocol requires QC testing on all units shipped and that the senior technician performing the QC test be someone other than the technician who performed the initial integration.

Using Zones Integration Services reduces the time and cost of deployment. Whether you need a single image or a dozen different ones, once an image is loaded onto our image server, deployment is simple and cost-effective. Typical on-site deployment can take up to three hours of hardware and software preparation. A pre-imaged/configured system minimizes end-user downtime and eliminates unnecessary handling of components and packaging. Pre-delivery integration prevents field failures 99% of the time and allows you to "free up" on-site technical staff, so they can concentrate on other critical issues.

Basic Hardware Configuration: Zones can install any compatible hardware into any desktop, laptop, or server prior to shipping. Zones installs hardware utilizing vendor recommendations and industry-standard best practices. Zones will accommodate any specific customer requests regarding hardware installation and work with the customer if any compatibility issues arise.

Software Configuration: Zones technicians can install any software requested by a client. Software purchased via retail or OEM packaging will be installed directly from the installation media provided. Zones can also install volume licensed software using a customer-provided volume license or installation key.

Imaging: Zones can image any desktop, laptop or server as requested using our primary imaging solution - Symantec Ghost. However, if the client has a preferred alternative, our integration team can work within those parameters. Images can be provided to Zones in many formats, including an existing image shipped on a CD/DVD or transferred to the Zones FTP server, a sample hard drive removed from an imaged unit, or a fully functional image unit shipped to Zones where the image will be extracted. Zones Professional Services can also assist in the development of the image.
