The I/O modules go into the top slot of the Cisco ASA 5585-X chassis. The Cisco ASA 5585-X divider divides the top slot into two half-slots, and each I/O module occupies one half-slot. All the ports on the 10 Gigabit Ethernet modules are dual Small Form-Factor Pluggable ports that supports both 1 Gigabit Ethernet SFPs.
