How it works

With the Microsoft Enrollment for Core Infrastructure (ECI), you choose among two Core Infrastructure Server Suites that offer significant savings over purchasing products separately.

While your initial purchase must equip at least 50 processors, you may choose any combination of the different Core Infrastructure Server Suites that best meet your virtualization needs and the workloads in your IT environment.

During the three-year enrollment period, as your processor count expands, you may deploy additional copies of the Server suites you are already using and then account for these changes once a year through an annual reconciliation process known as True-Up. You will also need to purchase any Client Access Licenses (CAL) as may be required to access the Core Infrastructure Server Suites.

Finally, your Software Assurance coverage will give you access to the latest versions of ECI server products, enabling you to upgrade your licenses gradually to support your IT environment.
