Marketplace Diversity

Ethical and diverse

Our Code of Business Conduct & Ethics applies to all officers, directors, team members, and contract workers, and commits us to maintaining the highest legal and ethical standards.

We're also a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) under the guidelines of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), enabling us to support our customers in pursuing their own diversity goals.

At Zones, we're totally committed to "walking the walk" as a diversity advocate. We value the NMSDC and the doors our certification has opened for us, and we look for every opportunity to pay it forward. We do that by working with diverse business enterprises (DBEs) as a routine practice and part of our corporate purchasing policy, inviting them to bid on a variety of projects from print publishing to IT services.

As a leader in the MBE community, we feel a responsibility to support the professional growth of other diverse businesses through academic programs and workshops. We are one of the founding sponsors of the University of Washington Foster School of Business Minority Business Executive Program, along with Boeing, Microsoft, and Nordstrom. This intensive program empowers minority business leaders and develops the tools and skills for successfully operating, sustaining, and growing a business.

We also actively support business development and growth through the network of NMSDC Regional Councils. Our diversity team, sales executives and other team members regularly participate in events that bring corporate members and certified minority suppliers together to develop business partnerships.
